Procrastination at its Best

Okay, so yeah. I admit. I am not faithful with this blog thing at all. I tell myself that I need to get better, because what exactly is the point of having one if I don't use it, right?

So, effective today, I will try my hardest to post daily, but at the very least weekly. Mostly because I want to start blogs that are content specific, and this one is my general, curious self. I honestly think I may have a mild form of ADHD sometimes, because staying on track is nearly impossible. See I come up with a great idea of things I want to do or make, and it never goes farther than the idea. Or I will go as far as actually buying supplies. But I am so afraid of failure or that it will turn out horribly and my expense spent on supplies will be lost in vain, that I have the hardest time getting started.

Like I love to buy fabric. When I see an awesome, beautiful fabric, I have to buy it. Especially from FabricByTheYard. But I can never bring myself to cut it. Because once I cut it, I have to hope that what I make is worthwhile, because otherwise my beautiful fabric is gone. I know it is a sad, and my wonderful husband has even asked that I do not buy anymore fabric until I use what I have. Poo, I guess I have to now.

But all I need is a nudge, just a little one!

Sorry...

Yeah, so I haven't writtin in a very long time. I really need to get better about this.

My husband and I just started our own Handmade Soap business, WillowBend Bath. So far we have 6 scents with more coming soon. We started our Etsy site and sold soap at the flea market last weekend. For our first official month in May, we didn't do too shabby. I think we sold 15 bars or so. And so far in June we have sold 3. We will be doing the flea market again on June 13th, and try to do it one weekend a month until October. The summer months are just too warm, both for us and the customers.

We are also starting our own screenprinting/embroidery business. Jeff has all kinds of really cool ideas for screen prints, and I am going to start embroidering accessories and clothing.

I am going to get better about posting daily, and at the very least weekly.

Happy Day!

Happy Day! I just found out today, that I am not out of business. Etsy Etsy(the awesome online retailer where my shop is located) posted a wonderful article about our rights and responsibilities. Basically we are still liable if something does have over the allowed amount of lead, but we currently don't have to provide testing of our items to consumers for at least 1 year.

Oh, man this means I need to get back to work! I let all my awesome kid and baby stuff sit idle.
